Construction on ancient buildings began with the cornerstone and ended with the capstone. As the walls neared it's final stages, the stone masons prepared a capstone. This capstone was the final stone placed in an arch. It held everything in place and gave the arch its strength.
In a similar fashion, the final component of ATI's Church Planting Apprenticeship Program, the Capstone Learning Outcome, gives the apprentice an opportunity to bring together everything they have learned.
